Demänovská Ice Cave (1km)
The cave entrance is located in the cliff Bašta on the northern side of the Low Tatras Mts. Ice fill has been formed in the
cave for the last 500 years and in combination with calcite decoration the cave offers a very interesting tour.
It is open from May until October. Entrances in 15.5 - 1.6 and Sept-Oct are at: 9.30, 11.00, 12.30 a 14.00 and in June-Aug at: from 9.00 until 14.00 every hour.
Closed on mondays.

Demänovská cave of Liberty (3km)
The national nature monument of the Demänovské Caves on the northern side of the Low Tatras Mts. is the longest cave system in Slovakia.
It is open whole year. Entrances in Jan-May and Sept-Dec are at: 9.30, 11.00, 12.30 a 14.00, and in June-Aug at: from 9.00 – 16.00 every hour. Closed on mondays.

Stanišovská cave (17km)
Cave is situated on the beginning of Janska valley (approximately 4km from Liptovský Ján).
It is open whole year from 10:00 to 16:00.

Važecká cave (38km)
Is situated about 30km from Lipt.Mikuláš, near village Važec. Entrances are in Feb-June at: 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00 and in
June-Aug at: from 09:00 do 16:00 every hour. Closed on mondays.

Caves closed for public
In slovakia but also in Demänovská Valley you can visit a lot of caves which are closed for public.
One of the most famous are The Dead Bat´s Cave under peak Ďumbier and
Krásnohorská cave
in National park Slovenský Kras. You can visit these caves only with a guide. For more information contact
